Garden Carpet
What you seeLaid out like a carpet: a lobed cobalt medallion with a rose at its heart sits in a dark field scattered with tulip sprigs, with quarter medallions in each corner and a running border.
What it meansPersian and Ottoman carpets were often designed as gardens seen from above, with a central medallion like a pool or pavilion and corner pieces echoing it.
Where it worksMade for a long wall in a living room or a bedroom, where it reads like a hanging.
