Hilal & Hue (hilalandhue.com) is operated by Webaes LLC, a Colorado limited liability company ("we"). This page explains what we collect and why. We keep it to the minimum.

What we collect

If you just browse and download: nothing that identifies you. Prints are rendered in your own browser; we don't need an account and don't ask for one. We use Vercel Web Analytics, which is cookieless: it counts page views and a few site events (such as a download or which part of the site a sign-up came from) in aggregate, with no personal data and no profile of you. The art files are delivered by Cloudflare, which, like any web server, briefly processes your IP address to send them.

Saved prints and settings: the hearts you tap, your preferred frame shape and border, and which prints Surprise me has already shown you are stored only in your browser. We never see them.

If you sign up for letters: your email address, the topics you chose (new collections, Journal articles, what's coming), which part of the site you signed up from, and the date you signed up and confirmed. We use Buttondown to keep the list and send email. Newsletter emails use link-click tracking via Buttondown; we don't track opens.

Why we use it

• To send the letters you asked for.
• To understand which pages are useful, in aggregate.

We don't sell or rent your information, and we don't use it for advertising.

Who processes it for us

• Vercel (hosting and cookieless analytics) · Buttondown (email list) · Cloudflare (art file delivery)

Each handles data under its own privacy terms and only to provide its service to us. Some of these providers are in the United States.

How long we keep it

• Email: until you unsubscribe, then removed within 30 days (we keep a suppression record so you aren't emailed again).

Your choices and rights

Every email has an unsubscribe link. You can ask us to see, correct or delete your information at any time: hello@hilalandhue.com. If you are in the UK or EU you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies, so there is no cookie banner.

Children

The site is for a general audience. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13 (under 16 in the EU/UK). If you think a child has signed up, contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes

If this changes in a meaningful way, we'll update the date above and, if you're on the list, tell you.
