What you seeA prayer niche drawn as nested pointed arches in teal, celadon and ochre slabs, with a hanging glass lamp in the centre and a frame of aubergine.

What it meansA mihrab marks the direction of prayer in a mosque; the lamp hung within it recalls the Verse of Light, which likens divine light to a lamp in a niche.

Where it worksA still, focused piece for a prayer corner, a study or a quiet bedroom wall.
