Open Sky
What you seeLooking straight up from the floor of a courtyard: four walls in sand, putty and oat lean in towards a rectangle of slate sky, the top of one wall caught by late sun.
What it meansThe courtyard house turns its back to the street and opens to the sky, so the sky becomes part of the room.
Where it worksFor a small room that needs a sense of space, or above a bed.
