Ram's Horn Medallion
What you seeA navy square set in a felt-red disc, with ram's horns rising from its corners and sides and a cream wreath of horns at its centre, all on a deep teal field. In taller shapes, horn borders and small rosettes sit above and below.
What it meansThe koshkar-muiz, or ram's horn, is the best-known motif of Kazakh and Kyrgyz ornament. Felt makers, wood carvers and metalworkers use the paired spiral as a sign of wellbeing and plenty. The square set in a circle is a common layout for the centre of a felt.
Where it worksA strong centrepiece for a living room or hallway wall.
