Reflecting Pool
What you seeA long indigo pool between rows of clipped green hedges, seen from above, with a pale sheen of sky down its centre and a narrow rill running to a round rose basin.
What it meansLong still pools flanked by myrtle, as in the courtyards of Andalusia, were made to double the architecture and bring the sky down into the garden.
Where it worksSuits a dining room or a long wall where its length can be read.
