Sun Tiles
What you seeA chequer of cream tiles with mustard sunbursts and teal tiles with cream ones, each with a bright centre, inside a mustard frame; one sun is coral on cobalt.
What it meansRadiating suns and rosettes of pointed rays appear at the heart of many Islamic star patterns and tile panels. Alternating the tiles light and dark gives the grid a steady beat.
Where it worksWarm and bright, it suits a kitchen, a breakfast room or a sunny hallway.
