What you seeIstikana tea glasses full, half and empty, on saucers and stacked, drawn in black across a grid with a chequer of teal cells printed around the glasses.

What it meansThe istikana is the slim-waisted tea glass used across Iraq, Turkey, Iran and the Gulf, where strong black tea is served in it on a small saucer through the day as an everyday sign of welcome.

Where it worksAbove a hall table, in a kitchen or along a dining wall, where a print with plenty to look at rewards a closer look.
