Torn Layers
What you seeA row of vertical strips of torn coloured paper stands on a cream sheet, each beginning and ending at a slightly different height, with a pale paper core showing along the torn ends. Most are warm neutrals; one is terracotta.
What it meansA collage made only of tearing: the rough ends are the drawing, and the uneven heights give the row its rhythm.
Where it worksFor a studio, an office or anywhere with plenty of clean lines to soften.
