Gold Margin
What you seeA bird on a flowering branch and a bed of flowers drawn entirely in tones of gold on ivory paper scattered with gold flecks.
What it meansPersian and Mughal album pages were often framed by margins painted in gold alone, with birds and flowers over a ground sprinkled with gold.
Where it worksSoft and luminous, it sits well in a bedroom or alongside the coloured pieces.
