Moon over Field

No. 17 of 20 · free · 300 dpi

What you seeA torn bone moon with a torn dark halo hangs in an ink sky above a horizon edged with a thin sand line. Below, three moss fields step darker towards the viewer, and the moon's reflection lies across a dark pool in five short strokes, three of bone and two of sand, shortening as they go.

What it meansNight made from paper: moon, horizon and a pool catching the light. The edges are torn; only the reflection is drawn clean, as light on still water.

Where it worksMade for a bedroom. It is one of the darker pieces and balances the lighter prints in a group.
