What you seeA tall, narrow pointed window in a periwinkle wall frames a single cypress and a slice of summer sky. One pomegranate rests on the sill in a band of sun.

What it meansThe pointed arch has been used in Islamic architecture since its early centuries, from the arcades of mosques to the windows of houses. A narrow window like this keeps a room cool while framing the sky.
