Reflecting Pool

No. 10 of 20 · free · 300 dpi

What you seeA pavilion of horseshoe arches under a tiled roof, with cypresses on either side, standing at the end of a long pool. The whole scene is mirrored in the water under a pale evening sky with the new crescent.

What it meansThe long pool that reflects the building was the great device of the palace gardens of Granada: the architecture appears twice, once in stone and once in water.

Where it worksCalm, symmetrical and spacious. For a living room, a bedroom or above a bath.
