What you seeHalf of a sixteen-fold rosette rises from the bottom edge on an aubergine disc, with a saffron star, bone petals and ochre points, over horizontal bands of saffron, ochre, persimmon and clay.

What it meansThe rosette is cut exactly along its middle, one of its mirror lines, so the half reads as a sun coming up over banded glazes.

Where it worksA warm, optimistic piece for a kitchen, a breakfast room or a bedroom that faces east.
