Under the Dome
What you seeLooking straight up inside a glass dome: iron ribs and rings radiate from a small star at the crown, the panes catch the summer sky, and palm fronds reach in from the edges.
What it meansMany domes in Islamic architecture are built around a central star or rosette at the crown. Here the same idea is made in nineteenth-century iron and glass.
Where it worksA striking, geometric print for a hallway, a stairwell or above a bed.
