What it meansEarly Arabic was often written without dots, so several letters shared one shape. Dots to tell them apart and marks for the short vowels were added in the first centuries of Islam, and full vowelling is still used for the Qur'an and for teaching. The letters are set in the Amiri typeface.

Where it worksA clear, useful piece for a study, a classroom or a reading nook.
