Jaffa, Still Life
What you seeA still life in mid-century poster style: a whole Jaffa orange with its leaves, a cut half and a sprig of orange blossom. The fruit sits on cream against a deep coastal blue.
What it meansThe Jaffa orange is a sweet, thick-skinned variety long grown in the citrus groves around the coastal city of Jaffa. It became known far beyond the region, and its blossom scents the groves in spring.
Where it worksA warm, simple still life in the spirit of vintage fruit labels and posters. Orange against blue is a bright, cheerful pairing for kitchens and dining rooms.
