Abrash
What you seeA field of small stepped diamonds whose madder ground shifts in uneven bands to paler rose and back, as each new batch of wool came off the dye pot.
What it meansAbrash is the Persian and Turkish word for the colour shifts in hand-dyed wool, prized as a mark of natural dyes and handwork.
Where it worksSoft but warm, it suits a sitting room or a bedroom wall in afternoon light.
