Starlit
What you seeA regular field of eight-point stars on indigo. The stars grow larger and brighter towards the top right corner and shrink to small points at the far side, with tiny dots between them.
What it meansThe eight-point star, made from two overlapping squares, appears across Islamic art in tiles, woodwork and metal. Here it is used as a night sky rather than a tiling.
Where it worksPattern that also reads as light, so it sits well in a modern room. Flat colour gives it a crisp, printed finish.
